the quality of stillness

Walked around DragonCon today - it's one of the larger sci-fi/comic/fantasy festivals in the US, held every Labor Day weekend here in Atlanta.

The parade on Saturday morning has to be one of the more interesting parades you'll ever see - thousands of fans dressed up in these intricate costumes celebrating their favorite characters/games/genres - everything from Star Wars to zombies to Doctor Who to steampunk to Mad Max to superheroes to almost anything else you could possibly imagine. There was even a Santa Claus and a Rainbow Brite group.

Lots of fun just walking around and seeing the costumes.
