LIFE GOES ON
Although most of the plants in the window box are dying back or have
been eaten by caterpillars, the pelargoniums are just coming to the
fore. As long as it's not too cold (like last winter) they usually
carry on all through until the next summer, which is a treat on a
miserable February day. I have no idea why, as my back yard is not
particularly sheltered and is frequently prone to mini-cyclones, one
of which once carried away one of those three-tier plastic mini-
greenhouses. We never saw it again.
