TACK-TILE

"And what did you do on your day off"?
"Oh, I blu-tacked some leaves and conkers to the kitchen tiles and took a photograph of them".

A day's holiday and not much achieved. A trip up the Dales would have been pleasant, if it had been better weather. Instead I have cleaned muddy boots, and emptied the fridge of some interesting looking, though purely in a scientific way, cartons and jars.

Tomorrow I will regret my inactivity or ability to settle to anything with much purpose, and consider my day wasted. Ho, hum, it was ever thus.
