365!

A year ago, in a very different place and time, I chanced upon Blipfoto. I'd done a beginner's 2-day photography course several months before, and learned how to use my camera in anything other than automatic mode. I thought it was a good discipline by which to practice, and a means by which to share my little life with distant friends and family.

I never in a million years thought I'd still be here today, but I'm well and truly hooked.

How wonderful is the ability to look for beauty everywhere?

How I love being able to look at the world through such creative eyes.

How amazing is it to be able to share and laugh and learn so easily with such a supportive community?

How exciting it is to develop and nurture a love that you didn't even know existed?

I've fallen into street photography, partly because that's what I have the opportunity to do, partly because I like documenting the world as I see it, mainly because I just love humans and their individuality.

It's not always been easy to keep up with a photo a day, and often my commenting has fallen by the wayside; it's hard sometimes to find the compromise between being a good blipper and a good photographer, and I'm not sure I always get the balance right.

Nevertheless, it's been a blast, and I'm here to stay......
