Ropewalk Gallery

Met friends Paul and Millie at the Ropewalk Gallery in Barton-on-Humber to see the exhibition by Malcolm Whittaker: Just under the surface and also the screen prints of Eduardo Paolozzi. We then nipped over the Humber Bridge to the Ferens Gallery to view David Hockney's Bigger Trees Near Warter, the largest painting Hockney has ever produced. It's made from fifty canvasses which fit together to show a scene near the East Yorkshire village of Warter. Sorry Mr H, but no Brownie points for that one.

All this art gave rise to much discussion and which involved generous amounts of tequila, triple sec and lime over ice in salted glasses.

Art can sometimes be A Good Thing.
