A Late Night Rendezvous
I was pretty bummed that the softball game got cancelled today. For some reason that along with some other things caused me to go into one of my thinking/not wanting to talk angry/not happy modes. I decided a walk was necessary and I wanted to get some peace and quiet to think. While walking around campus it occurred to me that there really is nowhere that is completely silent. I decided to do something I had never done before and went to the Ridges (the old asylum within walking distance from campus) by myself. Suprisingly it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. (the creepiest part was probably the deer since they're ginormous and make strange noises that sound like that thing they use at the eye doctor to shoot a puff of air into your eye, to one another). I even ventured by the TB building flashlight-less and laid on the ground by the graveyard and looked at the stars for a really long time. Dead people are silent, so we bonded well. The highlight of the evening however was probably when I was looking at the stars and a cop pulled up and asked me if I was ok. He probably thought I was drunk and or high for laying in the graveyard alone at that hour. (It was exactly midnight at this point). I took a picture of this glove I found by the graveyard because it was creepy and one of the only decent photos my camera would produce with the given amount of light.
