365
And there it is. Not my finest photo ever but my fallback was even worse! It gets the message across. The 365 was supposed to look like a puddle. You might have to use your imagination!
So, how do I feel now that I have reached the 1 year mark? Quite pleased with myself actually. People who know me would be surprised that I have stuck at it without missing a day. I tend to lose interest in most things I start. My house and garage are full of half finished or abandoned projects. That makes this a bit of a milestone for me. I have coupled a hobby with a diary of sorts and stuck at it.
On top of that I have managed to express myself here for a year without the need to use a single expletive (I think!). In most of my conversations I can hardly string a sentence together without needing to prop up my vocabulary with some sort of strong language. So there is another milestone.
I have learned a lot too, not just about photography but also about image editing. Considering I used to teach Photoshop I am rather ashamed to admit that there were and still are big gaps in my knowledge. I had better stick at it eh?
Now as far as I can see, most poeple who celebrate Blipdays take the time to thank Joe. Thanks Joe! I would also like to add that this first rate website is free which is very rare in this day and age. Thanks again Joe! As long as I stick to the rules I should be right.
What else?
Oh yes, how could I forget! Thanks to all those people who have persevered and regularly commented on my entries, even though I can't claim to be much of a return commenter myself. I find I tend to comment in a random sort of way, prefering to comment on photos I like rather than to just drop by and say "hello".
So, I won't be taking a break or missing days if I can help it. This has become something of an outlet for my joys and frustrations and if I stopped I would probably implode in a week!
Of course I have to thank my lovely wife Jo. She spends more time than I do on the blip, looking at other peoples photos. She likes it when I get rated too. Just spending a bit of time in the company of all the other rated photos keeps me happy. Jo also helps me to choose an image when I can't decide. It is good to have that second opinion.
Now to do a couple of things around the house. Then I might come back and spread some comments.
