Cervine

Absolutely cracking day. Glorious blue skies with big clouds. Plenty of opportunites for an absolutely magic walk of a few miles down the beach to Bamburgh with plenty of photo opportunites along the way.

At the far end of the beach just next to the lighthouse there's been a deer painted on the rocks for as long as I can remember. One theory is it was painted by Italian POWs in the Second World War, no-one really seems to know it's origin or, indeed, why it's there. Stag Rock the locals call it.

Question - after beach time what could be better than drinking Guinness whilst looking at the sea?

Answer - not much.
