Another day in the field. Just like yesterday, and the day before yesterday, and the day before the day before yesterday.... etc.... you get the idea.

Most of the nest are still intact. But since my last photograph of the starling chick, some nests have died. Including the one of which the chick came.

I can say that our dealings researching the little critters are NOT the cause of it. But rather natural predation. It is always a shock when one finds another nest dead. I guess, that's what nature is all about. Natural selection and survival of the fittest.

Next to live and dead starlings and starling chicks there is an extensive bug life in the area where I work. Along with this little beetle thing. I have no clue what it's called, but I thought that it would be a cool shot for taking.
