A seasider's view

Street lights with a story to tell

These lamps are up by the Cathedral, which is looking lovely with very russety leaved trees in front just now. However, it was the lights that caught my eye.

I can never remember how it goes: this is the fish that never swam etc but you can see more about Glasgow's city crest here.

I dashed up to the cathedral in my lunch hour but I didn't have much time. So I had my camera primed for what I thought was a nice shot of the road leading to the cathedral, flanked by trees and looking lovely. Unfortunately, I was beaten to the shot by several tourists who were now quite prominently in my view... Huffily, I walked off to try Castle Weetabix, then got this on the way back. May try again tomorrow. Weather permitting!
