Corizus hyoscyami...

... I didn't know what it was called, but way back in March it was identified thanks to Mollyblobs!

I've been watching the bushes for shieldbugs and have hardly seen any recently, but there were a couple around today, as well as the above (which I hadn't seen for months either). Clumps of ladybirds are uber noticeable again...

..Clumps is a funny word isn't it?
But apparently the correct collective noun for ladybirds is a 'lovliness'.
(Adopts Joyce Grenfell voice) ''ISN'T that nice?''

You might be forgiven for thinking we have no worthy views around here*!
Or, for thinking I am ancient and housebound.
Neither of the above are true.
(*Funnily enough Wittenham Clumps are not very far away!
-And I'm warm to the touch and still breathing in and out at regular intervals)

It's just this macro lens...

I'm not sure when the novelty will wear off. If ever? :-)
