Purple Gladioli

A retreat to the potting shed was necessary to take a photograph today. The weather has been horrendous. But I was rewarded by the sight of the beautiful gladioli which only now have come into flower. I know they're considered rather old-fashioned flowers but I think they're gorgeous!
