Impingement.
Spent a lovely 45 minutes today being groped treated very professionally by a nice young physiotherapist called Dave (which just backs up my theory that everyone should have a Dave).
Apparently I have an 'impingement' in my shoulder, which is a general term for 'We can see that there is something wrong and that it is extremely painful and that it is ruining your life and was definitely caused by the surgery you had but we can't do anything about it so you'll just have to live with it'. I was, however, supplied with the latest in 21st century medical technology - a long piece of rubbery stuff that I have to, among other things, tie onto a door handle and then move as if I'm practising the jitterbug. Oh well, to be honest it could be worse and it is getting better - just feeling like a grumpy old woman. :-)
This picture is nothing to do with that, though - just one of the many strange things scattered around the school grounds!
