Lammermuir Festival 2011 - opening night

Sandy and I were honoured to attend the opening concert of this year's Lammermuir Festival which took place in St Mary's Parish Church in Haddington.

It was only when we approached the church from the River Tyne path that I realised of course that I'd been here for a wedding years ago, and indeed had spent many hours poring over a photograph of that event when creating a little cross-stitch for the bride and groom. Ahh, those were the days when I had time on my hands.

This evening's event was wonderful - a full house, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra playing for our delight and the highlight for us being a solo from Maximiliano Martin. Bravo!
