olive oil cake

i am a recipe seeker. i find them and mull over them for ages, waiting for the perfect moment to try them out. and today was the day for this one. an olive oil cake flavored with some almond flour, orange zest, and fresh squeezed orange juice. topped with a brown butter and toasted almond glaze.

sadly, the photo was taken after dark in horrible kitchen lighting...

im posting this a day late, and can say - having devoured the cake as part of a wonderful dinner party - it was just as good as i could have ever imagined!
