Time to pick the berries...

Actually I'm really late. We have a mess (literally) of blackberry bushes behind our house. Every year I mean to get back there and pick but somehow manage to forget or to be too busy. Today I was out searching for a quick blip photo and saw these. It reminded me... better get out there and pick. The berries are late, small, and very very ripe. And delicious it turns out. We had them over gelato with chocolate sauce this evening. Yum!
