Mouse for tea?
I've spotted this Kestrel several times of late but always when I was passing by in my car. Tonight I wandered up the lane to play with some skyline shots. It's quite high where I live, so there are great views from lots of nearby vantage points. It's another spectacular sunset tonight but after capturing some mandatory images of that, I spot the Kestrel as I turn to go home. Frustratingly the light is too poor to really make use of the 14x zoom on my new point n click Canon and the resulting images are too grainy to share. But I recognise that I can become a little obsessed with detail. So while I was really looking to capture a sleek hunter's eye and powerful curved beak, I'm happy to settle for this shot tonight.
