Milton Keynes - MK

MK, this amazing, beautiful, remarkable - yet much maligned city. It's not strictly speaking a city, according to HM Queen, but everyone knows it is, whatever she or her courtiers say. It's a city that constantly changes and grows and transforms itself, especially when you're not really paying attention.
This picture is from my friend Andreia's apartment, right in the centre of the city, about 6 storeys high, so you can almost see the curvature of the earth. We spent 6 hours today, cooped up there, working on our research project, but it felt like being in an aeroplane!
The photograph shows the view to the north-west of MK, towards the railway station and the magnificent Indian restaurant, and the very flat Buckinghamshire countryside beyond.
But there's still a little bit of empty land for the next developer to work.
