Common Bonnets
I took a day off work today. My son is travelling back to university so we had lots of organizing to do. I found a few more new fungi this morning. There seem to be quite a number called 'bonnets' of one kind or another. I've not sorted out which these are yet. My working assumption is the 'common bonnet' . They are growing on a fallen oak trunk in quite dark woodland. The structure is very delicate being only a centimetere or two in height. The cap is very thin, almost transluscent and both cap and stem have a light blue-grey colouring.
