Scott Monument

Paid my 3 quid and decided to climb up inside the Scott Monument as I couldn't remember having done it before..

...and I will never (probably) do it again. The height thing was quite bad, but the claustrophobia in the wee spiral staircases was much, much worse. I didn't manage to get to the very top level as the final staircase was tiny. TINY.

Not usually freaked out by these kind of things but was glad to get back on terra firma.

Nice views up there, though. TIP: use a strap if you are shooting with a point and shoot camera, especially when there are high winds. Nearly lost it a couple of times.
