whoosh
She might not have bungied but Nicky was veritably keen to jump off the top of an hill strapped to nothing more than a bloke strapped to nothing more than some string strung to nothing more than a few square metres of parasail. Especially when they dropped the price at the end of the day. Well worth it anyway... cracking views of the surrounding mountains from the launch site and of Queenstown from a couple of hundred metres above it.
A very nice and viewsome end to a lovely sunny day featuring breakfasts (Naff Caff on either Shotover or Beach Street - not much choice and no muffins but I had a very nice omelette and a small bowlful of lovely coffee), boats, canyons, splashing, gondolas, chairlifts, things they referred to a luges but which were more sort of gravity-driven go-karty-things but still quite good fun and another coffee/cake at the hilltop café during which one of the paraglide pilots wandered past and told us they were dropping the price. Good things come to those who stop frequently for coffee and muffins, it seems. The hand-stamp entitled us to an extra trip up to the top again to reclaim our bags by which time it was night though I still thought it worth popping back to the launch site for some commemorative pictures which I'll link at some point. Still debating whether or not to sneakily change the main picture to the Nicky link though it'll have to be done when she's not sitting in view of the screen.
