Any Given Friday

I work from home on Fridays. Every Friday I wake up with a list of things I'm going to get done around the house while I wait for work-related processes, and every Friday I end up glued to the couch getting WAY too sucked in to work for any of my to-dos to get done. Then, when it's finally time to log off, I've built up so much couch-inertia that I invariably take a nap.

Pathetic, but there it is.

So here's a picture I took from my vantage point after waking up on the couch. And actually, this picture immortalizes the only home-related project I ever actually finished: the redecoration of the living room wall. I chose the paint color myself, got the London skyline mural sticker myself, bought and assembled the IKEA DVD shelves... The whole time I was working on it, I was afraid the finished product might be horrible (I'm not exactly famous for my interior decorating skills), but I'm actually very pleased with it and proud of how it turned out. Now I just need to get my dad to come over and install the wall mount for the guitar...

Now that I've worked and napped, maybe I can be inspired by my self-decorated wall to get up and do something ELSE!
