Cool Stockholm in the month of the lilac
This shot was taken at almost the same place as yesterday's. You can see (from left to right): The 60's towers of Sergels torg/Hötorget, Riddarholmen church, Storkyrkan (Big church) and Tyska kyrkan (German church).
I shot almost the same angle exactly five months ago.
It's still coolish here - around 10°C, and it was cloudy most of the day. Apparently the weather will stay cool at least over the weekend and a few more days. But at least they promise a bit more sun for Sunday and Monday.
When I grew up lilacs used to flower in early June, when school's spring terms ended. Now they've already been flowering for a week or so - even in northexposed places like Maria Hill. Feels a bit odd - but of course it's always nice to see them, any time!
Won't be much time for commenting until Sunday or Monday - we'll go crazy at the allotment again!
