Little black bug

Now that we have finished The Killing we can be sociable again and tonight a few friends are coming round for a meal with a very loose Italian theme. The menu is as follows: crostini followed by homemade pizza and big garden salad, followed by little figs in red wine and Basque tart. Not sure what Basque tart is as Lisa (Travellersjoy ) is making that.

A lovely day so more path clearing and the process of putting the garden to bed has begun - some beds still looks so pretty I don't want to clear them yet. This hollyhock shouldn't be flowering I'm sure but it's just popped up and is such a pretty pale pink. Lots of rain last night hence the droplets. Apparently we (and the UK) are in for a heatwave next week!! 24C on Tuesday. There are ominous references to rain in the west though - I bet everyone will be basking in Autumnal splendour and we'll have the thick sea mizzle .
