smoking fences

8:30 am and out for the first of two dog walks this morning.

Walking the family Cocker Spaniels, which is fairly normal for Saturday. Just as I turned the corner at 8:30, there was a whisp of steam coming off the fence as the warmth of the sun hit the freshly fallen rain.

Not the best picture, but I had two muts in tow and an appointment for a third to keep.

We're looking after our neighbours' dog overnight tonight, so was going for a walk with her (and her owner) to get to know how things are done with her. It was a lovely morning for the walk and I really enjoyed the extra time outside.

Managed to reach 38mph on the bike ride home (according to the car who was tracking alongside me. It was down a slight incline (not a hill) and with a clear run, but still pretty fast for a man on a couple of skinny tyres.

The rest of the day was a joy, fixing a front wiper clip, watching some rubgy (go ABs!), visiting my Dad, visiting some friends, helping clear up after the baby shower held at our place while visiting other people.

I love holidays and the balance of getting things done and just being.

Also, did you meet the neighbours?
