Another cat...? Meet Sekhmet

We visited Kelvingrove today as Shortie is "doing" the Ancient Egyptians at school and I wanted to see what we could find.

The display room was quite small but offered a lot, including the chance to practise wrapping a body like a mummy (naturally, we did).

There were also two great statues of the goddess Sekhmet - I thought this one looked very commanding, though I don't think my pic does her justice (I wasn't using the flash, as it just blooters everything).

All in all we had a great day - weather was warm, excellent for strolling about town, taking pics, drinking coffee outside, visiting parks and taking in some culcha. Then home to Dr Who.... indeed, who could I ask for more?
