Baby Snapping Turtle

3 months and 1 week ago, a large female snapping turtle laid her eggs right in front of me. June 15, 2011. Today the babies came marching across the lawn toward the lake. So fun to see. A day later and I would have missed it, as I'm leaving tomorrow. What's your take, ugly or beautiful? and to bblip, with my Lumix, cropped out the scratched lens portion.
