Ominous

The persistent cloud from yesterday on top of Ben Alder persisted this morning. The wind was also getting stronger. After some deliberation we decided to head back out to Dalwhinnie. On the ride out, with the wind at our backs we made excellent speed and overtook all the DofE expeditioners sauntering along the path. I estimated there were ~45 people staying in or around the bothy last night - a very popular spot.

I had last been there 15years ago when I had the place to myself, and then the first time was in 1990, again when we had it to ourselves.

Anyway, the clouds developed further and when we reached civilisation at Dalwhinnie (!), everything was looking a bit ominous. Much like Scotland's chances of progressing in the RWC having been beaten by Argentina this morning in Wellington :-(

I hope some Edinburgh blippers were able to catch the towers being demolished - will check today's submissions now...
