Osteospermum hybrid Orange Symphony

I am never quite sure how to spell Osteospermum, I think I know but I always google it just before typing. Did that tonight and found out the following :

"Deadheading not necessary for continuous bloom. Plants will "bury their dead" (new flowers will quickly cover old flowers) so no deadheading necessary. "

Wish I had googled it 4 months ago. Would have saved me a lot of bother :)

I have spent the day tidying the garden. Made good progress but am now knackered and need to lie down. I was surprised how much colour was still there after I had purged those who were past their sell by date. One disappointment this year has been the dahlias - just beginning to flower now and very weedy specimens indeed. Wonder what went wrong there?

Big dose of the " what happened to the weekend and oh s*** tomorrow is Monday" blues. We did not win the lottery this weekend, life is SO unfair :)
