Golden Window of Opportunity
Today, the tug 'Toisa Daring' towed the jack-up rig 'Rowan Norway' out of the Forth Estuary
After delivery from Singapore aboard the 'OHT Hawk' on 23/09/2011, The jack-up rig 'Rowan Norway' was offloaded in the sheltered waters of the Forth of Forth off Burntisland.
Today (25/09/2011) it was towed out of the Forth on a short journey round Fife to Dundee where it will undergo final testing and crewing before deployment in the Bentley Field.
The main towing vessel was the 'Toisa Daring' accompanied by the 'Stadt Valiant', 'Bb Worker' and 'Castle Point'.
The straight view of this can be seen here on Flickr.
Because this looked similar to my blip for yesterday, I have used polar coordinates to distort it a little and make it more interesting (to me at least).
