Down in the Woods

I went for a lovely walk this afternoon down Culloden avenue. Autumn is certainly here and the leaves are all starting to change colour. Families were out for Sunday afternoon strolls and little children were delighted by the beautiful wood sculptures that you come upon all the way along the avenue.

They seem to all depict characters from children's books and this sculpture and bench illustrating characters from the Gruffalo's child was one of the best. I am planning to take my class here on Tuesday afternoon and was checking the accessibility before taking them out. Taking children out of school is a complicated procedure these days as there is a comprehensive risk assessment process that needs to be undertaken for every trip.

Back to work tomorrow and only 2 weeks before the October break!
