Long Live the King

The best $11.75 I have ever spent: going to see The Lion King re-released in theaters (in 3D no less).

Almost 8 years later and this movie is STILL a triumph. Not only do they not make Disney movies like that anymore, they just don't make ANY movies like that anymore!

This movie manages to illicit so many responses in a span of 90 minutes it's almost staggering: the terror in the elephant graveyard, the heart-wrenching stampede scene, the song that makes you realize that you, too, are in love with Nala, the intensity of the battle scene, and ultimately the roaring in the rain to signify the rebirth of Pride Rock?!?!!?!?!?!


They just don't make them like that anymore.
