Herculaneum

Walking in the ancient streets of Herculaneum was a very special experience! The city was, like Pompei, destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Vesuvius in 79. Some of the houses were very well preserved and it was easy to visualise the people who lived there almost 2000 years ago.
