The SS Master in all her glory!!

This may be the last visit to a vintage workboat show for the foreseeable future. Much restoration is needed. According to the boat?s crew about $1,000,000 would be needed to restore her to an acceptable level. For now they are using what funds they have to keep the hull watertight.

Also the cost of operation is considerable: 40 gallons of diesel per hour @ $1.20 per gallon.

The first video clip shows a blast of the ship?s whistle and the lowering of the flag.
The second and third show Master sailing away from Ganges Harbour.

I was also lucky to have a bit of time in the engine room to take some images.
