Abraham in Reed Boat, Lake Titicaca (Peru 13/16)
After a long bus ride the previous day, followed by a ride in the cold, dark rain in a small motorboat, we found ourselves on a floating, man-made reed island on Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake. Abraham served as our guide, and toured us on and around the island. It was a rather fascinating place, and I took more photos on this day than on any other day, apart from of course the day at Machu Picchu. It was a hard decision picking which photo to use for today, but I was pleased to be standing on the island's watchtower when Abraham swung by to pick us up to go fishing. I plan to post a link to more photos at the end of this series of Peru photos if you're interested in seeing more of the island.
