Saints & Scholars

As you approach the Tullamore Bypass (Co Offaly) from Mullingar, you cannot help but notice the four fantastic sculptures "Saints & Scholars" overlooking the road.

They are dedicated to Offaly's monastic past and the Book of Durrow. They are really stunning and when the sun reflects off them, they come to life.

I think it looks very like Sauron from Lord of the Rings...
