More of the same

It may already be apparent that books and words are on my mind right now. Just a little bit...

This is so far my favourite book in my quest to brush up on my language skills - Cassell's guide to common errors in English. It's really more of a reference book, but I'm happily devouring it from start to finish. It frequently highlights how a usage which is fairly commonplace is a 'curious' way to use a word. The best so far, which I will now remember from it's use in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, is how one cannot haves acquiesced to something because the to is already implied.

It's geeky, but I love it.
