Lovely day - well, some of it - at RHS Rosemoor today with friends, the place teaming in dragonflies, darters & butterflies - I've never seen so many red admirals all in one place, they were in their hundreds! Great news, as butterflies have been rather low on the ground this year due to the hot dry April & then wet Summer!

Charlie has now gone to the cattery - his owners left us a message on our answering machine saying they were off to Portugal & Charles was in the cattery! Boohoo & typical he's in the cattery when the weather is *supposed* to be good!

This is a male common red darter... quite a beauty! (the darter not the photo!) lol x
