Mud

This may just look like any old patch of mud but......
Fallow Deer bucks have churned the ground here, they then urinate in the quagmire and roll in the resultant mess.
Apparently this makes them more attractive to the ladies! The area is known as a rutting stand.

I was going to feature a nice shot of a sun dappled buck but I thought you'd all prefer to see a lot of muddy wee instead.
