Golden

A strange day today, some lovely sunshine and also very wet in places. Busy about the house but did manage a walk up the hill during a sunny spell.

Saw a flash aod red flee across the forest path. Unfortunately I reacted to slowly and missed blipping a red squirrel with a rich , red shiny coat. Nothing much doing up the hill , sky much too bright for any landscape shots so headed back down by the river and along the shore. Again not much happening down there , some seagulls but have blipped them so many times already, so it had to be a close up blip of this tree growing wild along the shore. is it a wild rose?

Sods law off course as we spotted lots of mushrooms including fly agaric growing along the road where we parked the car tonight for the intervillage quiz. No camera , no blip of the fly agaric and our team didn't win.

I had ordered a canon Powershot A3100 IS which although no longer being made had excellent reviews and was supposed to be in stock but today I was sent an A3300 IS. The reviews for this were not so good re noisy images . Does anyone use either and if so any advice on whether I should keep the 3300 or insist on getting the 3100.

I really only want a small camera to take with me to events where the DSLR isn't allowed ( have had two occasions where my camera bag was confiscated and I had to collect it after the event - don't want this to happen in Liechenstein in case the language problems result in me losing everything )
