Paris Apartment

This is the kitchen in the tiny apartment we rented in Paris. The upper part of the appliance to the left of the sink is an electric cooktop and oven. The lower half is a dishwasher. The fridge was at the other end of the living/dining area, in an attractive cabinet that was also a wardrobe. I think it was from IKEA -- as were most of the furnishings.

The total area of the apartment, including the bedroom and bathroom, was about 350 square feet (33 square meters).

The window opened into an enclosed courtyard, so we didn't hear any traffic noise. One thing we didn't like was the three flights of narrow stairs.

P.S. I forgot to mention that we travelled from Béziers to Paris on the TGV and loved it -- very comfortable smooth ride at close to 200mph. September 24th is the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the TGV in France. If only we had something comparable in the USA.
