Freedom of speech

Out taking shots of the Parliament, General Assembly building, St Giles Cathedral and the trams for some image bank material at work. Came across this fellow and snapped him as I passed. It looked like there was a narrative or some sort of metaphoric meaning to the face being ripped off the cold stone beneath.

Having watched the BBC's Panorama programme about Syria last night, it seemed a suitable post.

On a lighter note: Stephen Fry's documentary about language was a real treat. I think the next episode is on Sunday at 9pm
