Message in a bottle

The current commission for the "empty" fourth plinth is Yinka Shonibare's "Nelson's Ship in a Bottle".

The artist describes it as follows "For me it's a celebration of London's immense ethnic wealth, giving expression to and honouring the many cultures and ethnicities that are still breathing precious wind into the sails of the UK".

It's stunning -- especially in the late September sun.

(p.s. honest, it was just a short coffee break in-between meetings!)
