Yep, this is THE genuine article - the Olympic Torch for London 2012. Very shiny - and also incredibly light. Which makes sense, when you think people have to carry it for a while, whilst running...

It's actually pretty impressive close up, and it did really capture people's imaginations - you could see grown men in suits getting quite kid-like about it! It was a real thrill to get to hold it. It was only display by Lloyds Banking Group at the Low Carbon Investment Conference held in Edinburgh today. There was a choice of this, or FM doing his thing, but I figured I might get other chances to blip him, but none of blipping this!
