Summer breeze?

That is how it felt today as we walked alongside the the South Lake at Castle Howard. It was lovely to be out enjoying this unexpected weather, we even had lunch sitting outside.
I could have chosen lots of other views, some highlighting the change in the colour of the trees and others taken inside the house where each room had a teddy bear commemorating 30 years since the filming of Brideshead Revisited.

We have been so lucky this year with our historic house visits. On our wedding anniversary in March we were at Chatsworth House on a glorious spring day and just a month ago we were at Blenheim Palace on a super late summer day
