Cruising for a bruising
They feed the Herons around 4:30 at Muncaster Castle. This Buzzard clearly knows the routine and buzzed the area, regularly diving in and harrying its raggedy rivals for the titbits left on the grass. Each time this happened the action was too fast to capture but this shot of Britain's biggest bird of prey still captures its majesty and beauty.
The temptation to blip any one of the scores of fantastic shots from the amazing collection of the 'World Owl Sanctuary' there was almost overwhelming. But capturing the Buzzard in all its free and natural glory won out in the end.
