Loong

Loong is the oldest Imperial Chinese dragon in the world. He attended the Bendigo Easter parade from the early 1890s until he retired in 1970. He was replaced by Sun Loong, the worlds longest Imperial dragon. These dragons are housed in regional Victoria in the Dragon Museum in Bendigo. The dragons and local Chinese community are a major part of the city's history despite years of prejudice and discrimination elsewhere. The museum is well worth the visit if you are passing.
