Wan li wu yun

To find yourself overcome by heat walking in the English countryside when it's practically October. Astonishing.

And the sky was cblazing clear and stretched tight as a drum above my head. As the chinese would say: wan li wu yun - ten thousand miles without a cloud

I had to walk 16km for work (long story) and was overcome by heat in the midday. Luckily theres a lovely village pond in Cotton, with seats around it so I could admire the reflection of the village shop and the ten thousand miles of hot blue sky above it
