Skip's Blips

Rocky Mountains

This is Pike's Peak with its snow-covered head in the clouds. The summit is over 14,000 feet above sea level. I think I was at about 7000 feet when I took this picture. We did not have time on this trip to take the cog railroad to the summit, so I had to be content with blipping it from below. We have been up top twice, once on the cog railroad and another time when we visited here with our two oldest grandchildren nine years ago. It is a beautiful sight. well worth the time, if you are ever in Colorado. I love the Rockies. They are magnificent.
