Dappled

Officially exhausted. It's a baking hot summer day outside and I decided to walk (50-60 mins) to the next village to collect some sea glass from the beach there. Our own beach is useless for sea glass, you see. I did get a satisfying amount of findings, but in all it was an unusually long walk by my standards. As you can see here the way back was in shade in many places, and there was a nice breeze too, much to my relief.

I saw four garden tiger caterpillars on the way there but none on the way back. Philius, by the way, quitted 'The Lodge For The Weary Caterpillar' on Monday. He enjoyed his stay but of course one can't indulge in leisure forever.
